Prayer to Bless My Parents

Father, I thank You for the parents You gave me. For their love and example of living a wholesome, good life. Help me honor them in the way You intended for children to honor their parents. Yes, there were times when they disappointed me. And I confess that I have failed them, too. Help us resolve any misunderstandings and quickly forgive each other, just as Christ forgives us. Please let Your love flow through us one to another, without enemy interference. Thank You for the talents I inherited through their DNA and for the encouragement they gave me through the years to develop my own abilities. Give them strength, wisdom and good health. Bless them, Lord, and thank You for the blessing they have been to me. I ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.
